Abstract

Breadfruit plant also known as Artocarpus altilis, is a plant that lives in tropical climate. This plant has various advantages neither for consumption nor health. This makes some people interested in growing breadfruit plants. However, most people still do not know breadfruit leaves can be beneficial, so it often ends up as organic waste or compost. From the problem that has been mentioned, dried breadfruit leaves have the potential to be used for other things such as particle board material. Particle board is made from wood chips and adhesive such as resin that are processed at high temperature also pressed until it become a board. The theory and method that are used in these experiments is quantitative to know whether dried breadfruit leaves have a good quality as particle board material or not. The experiments use different variables and will be compared to determine which experiments have the best quality. With this experiments method, the expected result is that dried breadfruit leaves can be used as particle board material with a good strength and density.
