Abstract

Will the decision by the United States to withdraw from the Paris Agreement on climate change impact the process and the speed of deploying carbon capture and storage? Does this move put China in the driving seat as the world leader in deployment of clean technology and carbon capture and storage (CCS)? Here, Muriel Cozier looks at some of the reaction to the US decision and assess what impact, if any, this pullout might have on the global efforts to tackle climate change. © 2017 Society of Chemical Industry and John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.
