Abstract

The excavation of a refuse midden at the Upper Sanger site in the Knife-Heart region of the Middle Missouri sub-area, North Dakota, is detailed here. Artifacts suggest its tentative ascription to the Heart River phase of the Post-Contact variant of the Coales cent tradition.
