Abstract
Abstract We describe the planned upgrade to the Level 3 trigger for the CDF (Collider Detector Facility) detector at Fermilab to enable us to take advantage of the increased luminosity expected in the 1991 Tevatron Collider run. The system that has been chosen is the Silicon Graphics 4D/200 family of servers. We describe the reasons for this choice and the results of the tests we have performed to determine the suitability of the system.
