Abstract
Matched asymptotic solutions are obtained, in the Stokes regime, for the time-dependent viscous incompressible flow past two spheres moving along their line of centres at very low Reynolds Numbers. The correction of 0(l/d) in the drag force on a sphere due to the presence of the second sphere is estimated.
