Abstract

Programs implementing U.S. food-assistance policy still currently lack support by many congressional representatives despite the fact that their curtailment will lead to there being more hungry children, more people going hungry among our elderly population, and ultimately more debility and dependency among vulnerable groups in our population. As it is, more than one in every twelve U.S. children under the age of twelve is hungry on a consistent basis.
