Abstract

The present work proposes to analyze how modality Youth and Adult Education has been contemplated in the training of teachers of licentiate Science Courses. It is assumed that preparation for teaching in Youth and Adults Education has not been prioritized in initial training courses. The objective is to deepen studies in the area and modality and contribute to the improvement of this training. This is an empirical research that is based on bibliographic review and documentary analysis. Data were collected through the application of an online form to teachers and the appreciation of pedagogical projects of degree courses in Chemistry and Physics of a public institution in Rio de Janeiro. Discursive Textual Analysis was used to treat the subjective data of the form in a qualitative way. The need for improvement for the Youth and Adults Education in the training of science teachers was investigated.
