Abstract

A 40 year old woman was referred to the gynaecolog- ical clinic with a four-month history of right-sided lower abdominal pain and menorrhagia. Her past gynaecological history was of two previous cae- sarean sections, laparoscopic sterilisation, and hys- teroscopy dilatation and curettage for menorrhagia some four years previously. It was noted that a bladder injury had been sustained at time of second caesarean delivery, but this had been successfully repaired. Abdominal and bimanual examination suggested pelvic fullness, but no specific abnormality was detected.
