Abstract

This chapter examines Christian belief in resurrection. The idea of resurrection in a different form of space is fairly clearly presented in the first book of Corinthians in the New Testament. In chapter 15 verses 35–50, the apostle Paul clarified that the physical body dies and what is resurrected is a spiritual body. In one passage, he also wrote that as the physical body decays the spirit body begins to take shape, even during the mortal life. This means that Christians consider eternal life not just as something that beings after death, but it is the quality of life seen in relation to the eternal God.
