Abstract

Abstract In 1942 a single stony meteorite was found in Ultuna, south of Uppsala. Since the distance is only 16 km to the Hessle area where a shower of stones fell in 1869, and both Ultuna and Hessle are of H5 type the question is whether they are related. A chemical comparison of their major minerals shows no significant differences, indicating that the meteorites are paired falls.
