Abstract

A polyacrylamide gel isoelectric focusing (PAGIF) technique is described for the determination of α 1-antitrypsin (Pi) phenotypes in bloodstains. The time limits for Pi type determination of bloodstains kept under different storage conditions are given. The resolution of PAGIF in the typing of Pi phenotypes in human bloodstains in investigated.
