Abstract
From the perspective of linguistic typology, this paper investigates and analyzes the types of adposition in 38 minority languages and their conjunctive use with location words, attempts to summarize the relationship between the basic word order, the types of adposition, and the word order between adposition and location words in different languages. Then, it seeks the motives that restrict the types of adposition and their conjunctive word order, and finally analyzes the external motives of the combination of such circumpositions (Prep + Noun + Location Words) in Chinese.
