After a decade as a free-lance geometer, he now pursues his writing and research with the low administrative overhead of a MacArthur Fellowship. His most recent work is Exploring the Shape of Space, a 2-week unit on geometry and the universe for middle school and high school students. He enjoys spending time with his wife and son, and gets out on his bicycle or cross-country skis whenever possible.
