Abstract

Phytoseiid mites of the tribes Kampimodromini and Typhlodromipsini collected from the Serra do Espinhaço (Espinhaço range) are reported here. Two species are proposed as new, Neoparaphytoseius moraesi sp. nov. and Typhlodromips ovametapodalis sp. nov. Typhlodromips constrictatus (El-Banhawy) is redescribed in detail including the first description of the male and the female insemination apparatus. The redescription of the female and the first description of the male and deutonymph of Proprioseius gibbus Moraes and Denmark are given. Complementary descriptions of the females of T. ariri Gondim Jr. and Moraes and T. japi Lofego, Demite and Feres are also included. A key is provided for the separation of the Brazilian species of the genus Typhlodromips.
