Abstract

The thinking of the ancient Egyptians before the birth of philosophy was distinguished by an independent way of thinking. They used their myths to express their theories of nature to depict what their tongues could not describe in terms of the realities of the soul. And the myth in ancient Egyptian art is “a fictional literary expression or a story that revolves around historical facts, or tales that revolve around gods who are also alive and twins or separate between humans, and also revolves around an explanation of mysterious secrets that the primitive mind could not accept, and it is in the end is narrations that carry meanings, values and connotations that are transmitted and passed down through time and generations. Art existed with the birth of the myth, and it was not an art in itself, separate from it, but rather an integral part of it. There are specific methods and rules in drawing and composition that Egyptian art adhered to for many centuries that emulate these myths. An anthropomorphism or perspective, but there is a light anthropomorphism, and the drawings have been executed on the levels of horizontal lines, and the colors in this art are frank and delightful, and there are many such legends that show the artistic value of the ancient Egyptian civilization, including the legend of the struggle of the god Ra with Apophis, Isis and Osiris, and the creation of the universe.
