Abstract
The old dislocations of 24 shoulders and 42 hips were treated by open reduction in our clinic. The dislocations of shoulders could be reduced in every cases.But in the elder cases, in which the hips have been dislocated for long time, the reduction were difficult and some of the head or hals of the femur were resekted and reduced.In the most instances the free movement obtained is in proportion to the duration of the dislocation.
