Abstract
Linear Fredholm integral equations of the second kind with kernels which are discontinuous along one or more continuous curves are considered. This paper discusses the use of generalized product type quadrature formulas (Boland quadrature formulas). A general convergence theory is developed and special techniques and quadrature formulas are given. The method is demonstrated on a numerical example.
