Abstract
After enumerating the advantages and disadvantages of the various methods of treating chronic dacryocystitis the author describes a method of lacrimonasal fistulization in which, after opening the sac through the lower canaliculus, a trocar with canula is pushed into the nose through the thin bony wall, the canula being kept in place until healing is complete.
