Abstract
Summary Fifty-one children harboring A. lumbricoides were given a syrup containing piperazine hexahydrate by mouth for two to five consecutive days. Ninety per cent of the children passed all of their ascarides as a result of the treatment and the over-all egg count reduction of the whole group was 95.2 per cent. There was no evidence of side effects from the therapy.
