Abstract
Objective To discuss the clinical effect of the technology of treatment for cataract by manual nuclear fragmentation and implantation of foldable intraocular lens through small incision. Methods 67 eyes of 61 cataract patients had undergone the making of 3.2 mm to 4.5 mm incision, nucleus fragmentation by lens transposition hook and lens wire spoon, and implantion of the foldable intraocular lens. They were observed for the vision, corneal astigmatism and complications after the surgery. Results The surgery of all cases was done smoothly. One d after the surgery,55 eyes had got a vision of no less than 0.5,accounted for 82.08% ; 1 week after the surgery,62 eyes no less than 0.5,accounted for 92.54% ;34 eyes were of no less than 0.8,accounted for 50.75% ; After 1 month and 3 month for reviewing, the vision had no obvious change. The corneal astigmatism was (0.92 ± 0.65) D one week after the surgery. It was (0.81 ± 0.52) D three months after the surgery. The number of the posterior capsular rupture in the operation was 2 eyes, accounted for 2.99%.The number of corneal edema was 5 eyes 1 day after the surgery, accounted for 7.46%.Conclusion The manual technique of nucleus fragmentation and implantion of folding intraocular lens is safe and feasible for treatment of cataract.
