The treatment effect and nursing care of vacuum sealing drainage (VSD) for open fractures patients with skin and soft tissue defects

Abstract

Objective To investigate the treatment effect and nursing care of vacuum sealing drainage (VSD) for open fractures patients with skin.and soft tissue defects.Methods A total of 50 open fracture patients with soft tissue defect were divided into the observation group and the control group with 25 cases in each group.Control group received the traditional dressing wound treatment,the observation group was treated with VSD,the two groups were compared with treatment effect.Results The wound healing rate,wound cleaning time,hospital stay,complication rate in the observation group were obviously higher than those in the control group ( P ＜ 0.05 ).All aspects of the scores the life quality in the observation group were significantly higher than those in the control group ( P ＜ 0.05 ).Conclusions VSD can stimulate the growth of granulation tissue,accelerate wound healing,reduce complications,shorten the course of disease,and reduce the workload of the nursing staff.
