Abstract

We investigated GABAergic inhibitory tonic currents in the substantia gelatinosa (SG) neurons in mouse spinal cord. A population of neurons in SG depicted the tonic currents. The pharmacological properties examined by GABAA receptor subunit specific drugs suggest at least three types of the GABAA receptor subunit combinations for the tonic currents.
