The Tom and Ruth Rivers Scholarship Program

Abstract

The Tom and Ruth Rivers Scholarship Program provides opportunities for “seniors” and graduate students in Recreation, Leisure Studies/Services, Resources college programs to attend international meetings, conferences or conventions. From attendance at such an activity, it is hoped that students will gain a broader perspective of world leisure and recreation trends, issues, philosophies and problems. It is expected that the students will share their experiences, upon their return, with fellow students, colleagues and professors.
