Abstract
17β-Hydroxy-10-methylthioestra-1,4-dien-3-one is an active-site irreversible inhibitor of aromatase, the cytochrome P-450 dependent enzyme responsible for the conversion of androst-4-ene-3,17-dione to estrone. Two time-dependent pathways to inactivation are observed, one of which requires NADPH activation.
