Abstract
The thickness of substrate influence on resonant frequency in the left-handed materials (LHMs) is deeply studied by experiment and CST simulation. The relationship between resonant frequency and the thickness of substrate is obtained by prism-shaped samples experiment, the prism-shaped samples have five kinds of substrates. The same relationship is got by simulation for five kinds of substrates. When the substrate is becoming thicker, the resonant frequency band is shifting from high frequency band to low frequency band. At the same time the width of the response frequency is becoming small, the distribution of the power is different too.
