Abstract

The thermal properties of the Ni(II), Co(II) and Cu(II) complexes of glycine were determined using TG, DTG and DSC techniques. The complexes, MGly 2· nH 2O ( n = 1, 2), dehydrated in the temperature range of 75 to 200°C, followed by the decomposition of the anhydrous compounds in the temperature range of 200 to 400°C. The thermal stability of the complexes, as determined by procedural decomposition temperatures, was: Ni(II) >Co(II) >Cu(II).
