Abstract
The thermal conductivity coefficient λ of compressed neon has been measured with a parallel plate method described previously 1). Measurements were carried out at 25°C, 50°C and 75°C and at densities up to 1000 amagat (pressures up to 2600 atm). In addition values are given for the ratio K = λ ηc v where η is the viscosity coefficient and c v the specific heat at constant density. The experimental data for λ are compared with the values predicted from the theory of Enskog.
