Abstract
The surgical treatment of tetralogy of Fallot is and has been a great challenge to the cardiovascular surgeon. The ability to transform a severely cyanotic child with limited physical capacity and life expectancy to a healthy thriving acyanotic state is a miraculous deed. This feat has been possible only in the last two decades. The skills required to accomplish this task have touched many areas of medicine and science.
