Abstract
The Master has ended his narration to Ivan Bezdomny. The chapters are behind us in which the valorous Margarita serves as queen of Satan's Grand Ball and then departs with the Master, who has been returned to her, to the little basement in the Arbat. The novel is approaching its end, and the time comes when Matthew the Levite appears before Woland, who is thoughtfully observing, from the high terrace of one of the most beautiful buildings in Moscow, the city lying before him. Matthew transmits to him Yeshua's request that Woland take the Master with him and reward him with peace.
