Abstract

Summary o 1.The preparation of human skin for the assay of its terramycin content under therapy is described. 2.In eleven cases the average terramycin content of the skin was 70 per cent. of the corresponding serum concentration. 3.In another thirty-five cases the mean serum levels, and in twenty-two cases the urine concentrations, of terramycin were determined. 4.A plea is made for further study of the distribution of antibiotics at the actual tissue sites of infection in man. 5.Attention is drawn to the possible use of terramycin as a bacteriostatic in stored skin.
