Abstract

Following the method developed by R.J. Swenson a non-Fourier equation for heat transfer in nuclear matter is obtained. The velocity of heat propagation is calculated and the value ν s = ν F/√3 is obtained. For two interacting nuclear slabs the temperature as a function of time is calculated. For a nucleon mean free path λ ∼ 3 fm the temperature saturation time is calculated and the value ∼160 fm/ c is obtained.
