Abstract

Abstract The electrical resistivity of an Al-6·8 at % Zn alloy at various stages of ageing has been determined over the temperature range 4·2 to ∼ 120 K. It is found that within the limits of experimental accuracy the initial change of resistivity with atomic clustering is not dependent on the measuring temperature. The ageing time for the peak resistivity is also found to be independent of the measuring temperature within the limits of experimental accuracy but the peak height is found to decrease with increasing measuring temperature.
