Abstract

In this paper, we present and compare via the computational experiments two distinct realizations of a protocol of two-qubit state teleportation. Our first achievement has been accomplished on the IBM Q quantum computer available for use through the IBM Q Experience online platform and the Qiskit open-source quantum software development kit, which forms a virtual interface for the quantum computer. Our second realization uses the Feynman, classical simulator of quantum computation written in Maple, the user’s language of the computer algebra system. Our experiments with the IBM Q Experience show that the error rate increase, caused by the distortion of quantum states in the course of computing, requires quantum error correction or the technological improvement of quantum hardware to decrease the error rate.
