Abstract

Andrew Davenport explains the techniques of haemofiltration and haemodiafiltration as treatment options for patients with chronic kidney disease. Both techniques have recently received renewed interest due to the improvement in dialysis water quality, allowing the production of ultrapure water, coupled with the arrival of more permeable, high-flux dialyser membranes.
