Abstract
El presente articulo aborda el analisis y la posible atribucion de una tabla a Jan Massys, en la que se representa un famoso emblema de andrea alciato “In Senatum”. a traves del analisis de las claves iconograficas, de la firma y de las caracteristicas estilisticas de la tabla se atribuye la obra al pintor flamenco. Se trata de una obra de gran interes por cuanto es inedita y la unica conocida hasta el momento en la que se representa un emblema del erudito italiano casi de manera contemporanea a la edicion del famoso libro de emblemas. los autores abordan tambien su posible significado en el contexto religioso y politico europeo.
