Abstract

In the renewals of methodology, students are considered as the main role to actively participate in learning activities to develop their quality and competency mentioned in the 2018 Literature program. By designing and organizing experiential activity teaching according to Kolb’s learning theory, students not only exploit the beauty of words and artistic images but also thanks to that beauty, have good language skills, and positive and humane lives. Therefore, determining the model of experiential activity teaching in Literature is believed to become urgent. In this paper, Kolb’s learning theory is flexibly applied to teach the topic “Understanding a work of art adapted from literature”. The results show that the creative application is a direction that is consistent with the modern teaching perspectives in Literature and it is a very feasible application in the current teaching context in high schools.
