Abstract

Abstract The monobasic genus Prostemmidea Reuter and its type-species P. mimica are recorded from Ranchi (Bihar). Raipur (Madhya Pradesh) and Dandeli forests (Dharwar, Karnataka) on leaf-litter under Thevetia peruvlana and Eupatorium glandulosum. Descriptions and illustrations of the genus and species, together with the description of fifth nymphal ins tar, are provided. The genus is here assigned to the tribe Megalonotini of the subfamily Rhyparochrominae.
