Abstract

This paper reports a study on the preparation of ordered mesoporous silica films with CTAB and P123 as the directing agent, and TEOS as the silicon source. Furthermore, the effect of different acid, crystallization temperature, crystallization time as well the ratio of CTAB/TEOS on the orderliness of meso-film material are here investigated. The obtained results show that well-ordered films can be obtained using nitric acid at a crystallization temperature of 20 °C for 3 days. To refine the preliminary obtained results, also the effect of a different acid, LiCl, and CTAB on the orderliness of meso-film material is investigated. The final results show that the mesoporous silica film has few different orders under different acids, the appearance changes by the use of inorganic salts as LiCl leads to formation of three-dimensional network-like ordered mesoporous silica film and the order of the samples can be improved by adding surfactant of CTAB.
