Abstract

Enhancing light absorption, accelerating carrier separation and enlarging specific surface areas are effective means to promote photocatalytic performance. Herein, we utilized the synergistic effect of C60 and three-dimensional ordered macroporous (3DOM) structure on light absorption enhancement, electron transfer acceleration and reactive sites increasement to enhance photocatalytic performance of TiO2. The results show that 3DOM structure can enhance the catalytic performance by enlarging specific surface areas of composites. C60 can effectively enhance light absorption and suppress the recombination of electron-hole pairs of TiO2. The degradation mechanisms of organic pollutant by prepared composites were also systematically investigated.
