Abstract

The synergic impact of saccharin and 2-butyne 1,4 diol (BT) on the microstructure and properties of electrodeposited nanocrystalline NiW alloy has been investigated. The morphology and grain structure were studied by scanning electron microscopy (SEM), scanning transmission electron microscopy (STEM) and X-ray diffraction pattern (XRD). The presence of BT only, or in combination with saccharin was found to have a significant impact on the microstructure of NiW alloy. The present study discusses the details of the impact additives used in electrodeposition may cause as regarded to internal stress.
