Abstract
We propose a unified propagator defined by the sum of the untwisted propagators which are introdiced in the BRST invariant operator formalism for the open bosonic string theory. We apply the propagator to evaluete N-point tree amplitudes and one-loop amplitudes. It is shown that the tree amplitudes are represented by the symmetric sum of all inequivalent amplitudes, and that the one-loop amplitudes which are uniquely derived as the sum of all inequivalent one-loop amplitudes satisfy unitarity.
