Abstract

The author's individual style as a multilevel and multidimensional manifestation of personality is an integral part of the study of modern linguistics and cognitive linguistics. Modern linguistics text aims to move from the study of integrated textual structure to the analysis of the text as an anthropocentric communicative system aimed at the personal linguistic qualities of each author in connection with his psychological, mental, socio-cultural, and cognitive features. We define the author's style and reflection of the author's picture of the world as a complex of a structurally and internally connected system of specific stylistic means and forms of creative verbal expression inherent in the textual activity of a particular author. The idiostyle of the author reflects the language culture, type of thinking, the specifics of the cognitive attitude to what is happening. The individual style of the writer is interpreted as a new artistic image of the world, a complex dialectical combination of natural-general and individual one. It is determined that the genre specificity of Dan Brown's works can be considered a conspiracy thriller. Signs of this genre, one of which is suspense, the dynamics of events, and the symbolic space, actualize the historical, cultural, and geographical deixis, the cultural code of the author. In this article, we will analyze the features of the individual author's style of Dan Brown � his stylistic dominants as a tool of associative thinking of the author. The author's symbolism represents the intentionality, imagery, motivation, imperativeness, psychologism that reflect the writer's worldview, his poetics.
