Abstract
Sweden has developed a remote sensing maritime surveillance system primarily designed for light twin-engine aircraft. The system is composed of different sensor components which are integrated with a real-time data presentation and management console. In Sweden the system is operated by the Swedish Coast Guard for sea traffic supervision, fishery inspection, marine environmental protection, search and rescue etc.
