Abstract
Temperature and pH requirements for mycelial growth and conidial germination were investigated for various Rhizosphaera kalkhoffii isolates. Conidial germination was also tested on spruce needles. Some factors of host susceptibility were determined using needle extract agar and buffer-capacity of needle sap.
