Abstract

The problem of active suppression of the vibration of an elastic panel moving axially in an ideal fluid flow is considered. The approach based on combined consideration of the reaction of the moving fluid and the deformations of the panel that arise is presented. By using the analytical solution of the two-dimensional hydrodynamic problem, the initial combined two-dimensional problem of hydroelasticity is reduced to solving the one-dimensional partial differential equation.
