Abstract
Bi0.85Nd0.15Fe0.98Mn0.02O3/CoFe2O4 (BNFMO/CFO) heterostructure was synthesized on FTO substrates by the chemical solution deposition method. X-ray diffraction (XRD) and Raman spectra confirm the existence of structure transformation or distortion in BNFMO layer. Scanning electron microscope (SEM) shows that the BNFMO and CFO phases have retained the perfect heterostructure. Furthermore, the BNFMO/CFO heterostructure exhibits both good ferroelectric and ferromagnetic properties at room temperature. The remanent polarization (Pr) and the coercive field (Ec) are ~117μC/cm2 and ~410kV/cm, while the remanent magnetization (Mr) and the coercive magnetic field (Hc) are ~60emu/cm3 and ~1050Oe. It is also found the significant role of the CFO layer for the ferromagnetic behavior can be observed in the BNFMO/CFO heterostructure.
