Abstract

SuperB is a next generation asymmetric-energy e+e− collider with a baseline luminosity of 1036 cm−2s−1, to be built in Tor Vergata near Rome. This facility will provide a uniquely sensitive probe of New Physics at low energy, enabling also precision tests of the Standard Model. This paper reviews the project, covering selected highlights of the broad physics programme along with the basic accelerator concepts and main features of the SuperB detector.
