Abstract
The convergence of the nuclear field theory (NFT) is investigated. A method of summing two-boson NFT diagrams up to infinite order is proposed and examined by comparing the results with shell-model calculations. It shows that the NFT results are identical with those of the shell model. The formation of boson states is also discussed.
