Abstract
430 stainless steel (SUS430)-Sr2Fe1.5Mo0.5O6-δ (SFM) composite interconnect materials have been successfully synthesized by a facile powder metallurgy method. SFM powder synthesized by sol–gel method was coated on SUS430 stainless steel matrix and sintered to obtain SUS430-SFM material. After circulating oxidation at 800 °C for 140 h in air, the oxidation rate constant K and current density of the interconnect materials were 3.66 × 10-14 mg2·cm−4·s−1 and 1.296 × 10-7 A·cm−2, lower than those of SUS430 stainless steel. Its conductivity was about 5.8 × 103 S·cm−1, about twice of that of SUS430 sample. This excellent performance is due to the good matching of thermal expansion between the coating and the substrate and the excellent oxidation resistance of the coating.
