Abstract

In this essay Badiou critiques Paul Ricœur’s work, Memory, History, Forgetting . He argues that Ricoeur’s theory of the subject cannot be understood without its Christian theological underpinnings, especially in terms of guilt, innocence and forgiveness. Translated by Natalie Doyle and Alberto Toscano.
